Arriving on her husband’s yacht “Christina”, Jackie regularly visited Capri where she loved to stroll through the narrow little streets without being hampered by bodyguards. She would mingle with the island’s inhabitants and the tourists, enjoying her favourite pastime of shopping. She delighted in browsing in the island’s small, charming boutiques, buying countless pair of the world-famous Capri sandals. Above all, Jackie loved to walk. In the summer she could even be caught wandering barefoot. It gave her grat pleasure to be among the local people, stopping at kiosk for a freshly-squeezed lemonade, or sipping a cappuccino or an aperitivo while sitting in Capri’s world-famous square, familiarly known as la Piazzetta.
